_No Child Without Coat Donation (2).png

In October 2020, we had the vision to ensure that no child in Falmouth (& the surrounding areas) went without a warm winter coat, access to fresh nutritional food and celebrations over the Christmas period.

This was based on a report we'd read that stated ‘On average, 3 children from every primary school class will be deprived of basics such as warm winter clothing, fresh food and celebrations over the Christmas holidays'. These statistics are from a report published in 2018 and the more recent challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have only exacerbated the problem.

Access to warm winter clothing, fresh food and Christmas celebrations are essential to the health and wellbeing of children and parents alike and a lack thereof can be detrimental to children's health, growth, and happiness.  To address each element, we created 3 sub-projects; A Winter Coat Pop Up Shop, Fresh Nutritional Food Hampers and Christmas Holiday Activity Boxes.

To find out more about all of these sub projects and the impacts they had, have a read of our 2020-2021 Impact Report

We are very aware that these needs are not exclusive to Christmas and with the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, many families may experience hardship this year.  Therefore we are continuing to offer our services to the families we worked with over Christmas, all year round.  The services we are able to provide are based on what we did over Christmas, the feedback we received and the additional needs that arose.  If you'd like to continue to support our no child without project, follow the link below to our Total Giving page.
